Choose from multiple finishes
When it comes to selecting the finish for your gate or railings, we offer several options. The first and most popular finish we offer is our hot dipped galvanised finish. If you’re unfamiliar with what this means, the process essentially involves immersing the gate or railing in molten zinc at 449 degrees Celsius. This creates a strong anti-corrosion coating that can protect against rust for up to 70 years, although this can vary based on a couple of factors, such as how close you live to the coast (due to salt spray causing corrosion).
After the galvanisation, we apply a durable powder coating. The powder coating is applied using an electrostatic process, and then baked to create a resilient finish. This helps your metal railings or gate stay beautiful for years with minimal maintenance required, so it’s perfect if you want to install gates or railings and not have to think about constant upkeep! The finish creates a gorgeous and stylish black end result that will add visual appeal to any property.
While our galvanised and powder-coated finishes are recommended for minimal maintenance, we also offer products in a primed-only finish if you’re with a budget who want to save some extra money or if you’d prefer to paint your gate or railings whatever colour you’d like. However, it’s important to note that this finish will require more regular painting and maintenance to prevent rusting and keep it looking its best, which is why most of our customers tend to choose the galvanised finish.
