Our gates and railing can last you a lifetime
One of the key distinguishing elements of our service is the hot-dip galvanisation that we can provide as standard for every metal gate and railing we supply. If you’re unfamiliar with what this means, it’s a process we put our mild steel products through to ensure they don’t rust, they never need to be painted and that they last even longer out in the elements.
What is galvanisation?
In a nutshell, it involves submerging the gate for railing in a pool of molten zinc at temperatures of around 450°C, which gives it maximum protection against corrosion. After being dipped in molten zinc, a powder coating of paint is electrostatically applied to the metal. Finally, to finish, it’s baked in an oven to smooth the paint powder, providing a much tougher finish than conventional spray paint. This makes it the perfect coating for maintenance-free decorative steelwork!
